Florida Wedding Photographer for fun relaxed couples looking for vibrant & timeless photographs.
November 6, 2021
Since moving back to the Pensacola, Florida, area, I have been extremely interested in wedding venues that are still around or new venues that are available to any Pensacola bride that may be looking for one! So I’ve teamed up with Chloe, owner of Supposey Co, a wedding planner, florist, event rentals, and now a new venue owner in downtown Pensacola! Together we have compiled some of the best wedding venues Pensacola has to offer! We both know how important your wedding day is and how stressful the first few steps of wedding planning can be!
I actually looked at some of these venues when I was planning my own wedding back in 2013! Some are still around (and renovated as well) and some are new! I’m so excited to be a wedding photographer on the Gulf Coast and especially Pensacola, Florida, because I grew up here and it has been fun deep diving into this list for my brides! Chloe has personally worked with these venues throughout her career and I have vetted their social media, website presence, and reviews to make the decision of choosing your venue as easy as it can be! So without further ado and in no particular order, let’s get started!
Okay so let’s be honest. The main draw of Pensacola, Florida, is that it is close to the pristine white beaches of the Gulf. The sunsets are unmatched, the white sand is soft on your feet, and the ocean is a turquoise blue when the water is clear. Even after living on a tropical island, I can still say that the Gulf Coast beaches are still the best!
And the best way to take advantage of all of this natural beauty is to have your wedding at a hotel or resort like the Margaritaville Beach Hotel or The Hilton. You will have access to the beach and your reception venue all in one spot and your out of town guests will also have the opportunity to book a room at your chosen venue, making it convenient for everyone.
Or, with the help of your wedding planner you can obtain a special permit to have your wedding ceremony on the beach wherever you choose! Then make plans to have your reception close by or at another amazing Pensacola venue nearby. There are a lot of options with this decision which will possibly come with its own blog post in the future! So stay tuned!
This venue has been around since before I was married in 2013. A few of my friends were married here and the location has recently been beautifully renovated! A perfect blend of old and new with exposed brick and white steel framing that lets in lots of natural light for photography! One of my current brides is getting married here and I am so excited to photograph her wedding! If I were getting married again this would definitely be one of my top picks!
Fiore of Pensacola
This is an exciting new venue open as of the winter of 2021! It’s an all-inclusive wedding venue with warehouse and gardens located in the heart of downtown Pensacola and conceptualized by Chloe and Nick, owners of Supposey Co, and voted Best in the Coast every year since 2014! It also comes with bride and groom suites which makes it insanely easy to stay at one location and keep the stress of the wedding day at an all time low! The building was originally built in 1946 and now has light walls, concrete flooring, industrial chandeliers and exposed wood beams!
Another venue that has been around for ages and in the middle of downtown Pensacola in Seville Square! I also looked at this venue when I was getting married. It is the iconic little white church that songs are written after and little girls dream about! As with any historic venue, there are a lot of rules and regulations associated with it but with the square right in front of it you can have your ceremony and portraits easily all in one spot!
So this venue is right near the water and also located in Seville Square. It was formerly the Lee House. Now it’s a Boutique hotel that can host your wedding and it’s interior design makes a photographer weep with joy! All of the beautiful whites and creams and again in the middle of Pensacola, the perfect downtown spot for your wedding!
This venue has been around for over 100 years! First built in 1902 this venue is perfect for bride who loves stately old world elegance. It is a waterfront venue with expansive lawns leading up to a two story brick manor! You can have your ceremony on the greens followed by dancing and reception under huge white tents or even the open air if the weather permits it!
Another century old venue situated right on the marina. Awarded Pensacola’s Best Wedding Venue by VIP Pensacola Magazine in 2018 and boasts world class cuisine. They have two indoor event spaces along with a patio and lawn area for your wedding day, including bridal suite and groom suites. And who wouldn’t want their perfect golden sunset bride and groom portraits on the docks of the marina?
Okay, so switching gears to more of a country wedding feel under sweeping oak trees in the northwest area of Pensacola, Florida. And who doesn’t love that ceremony view of your guests watching you get married under the shade of an oak tree! And especially being in Florida which can have the hottest summers and can even see 75 degrees during the winter months it can definitely be a great decision!
Another new venue in downtown Pensacola! So many great options in downtown Pensacola and this is a new one! The original structure was built in 1912 and now is a wedding venue for urban brides that boast panoramic views of the lush green Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Plaza park in downtown Pensacola! Another great choice for brides getting married downtown!
This by far does not include all of the venues in Pensacola but while I was researching I chose venues that were easy to find on Google, social media, great reviews, established businesses, and exciting new venues backed by local industry experts, thanks Chloe! Essentially, these are venues in the Pensacola area that stood out to me as photographer and what I thought a potential bride like yourself might be interested in. If you have come across a different venue that is a favorite of yours please comment them below! I am so excited to learn about all Pensacola has to offer for future brides in the area!
