The decision to have an outdoor wedding, particularly one on the beach, is a bold one, full of unknowns and what-ifs. But nothing is more rewarding than capturing the results of a daring choice paid off.
The sun shone brightly and the water glittered a perfect blue, making the flawless backdrop for a wedding. This day of bliss was a long-awaited moment of celebration in the hectic lives of a nurse and a neurologist mid-residency now beginning a new life together. Every detail, from the jeweled starfish in the bride’s hair to the most mouthwatering display of macaroons I’ve ever seen, was picture perfect. But amidst the unknowns, one thing was always certain: these two lovebirds know how to have fun, and that never showed more plainly than on their wedding day.
The laughter as the groomsmen toasted their single friend one last time before the ceremony and the overpowering joy between the bride and groom as they sang “Don’t You Want Me” to each other at the reception, was infectious. I could clearly tell while taking their engagement pictures, that this couple knew how to have a great time, and I am certain that, for these two, there will be many years of joy and laughter to come.
