This was my first time photographing a wedding at Queen’s Harbor and I absolutely loved it! Their cermony location is under the shade of trees and when the sun sets it is the perfect lighting for portraits and for pictures during the ceremony itself. The interior has been redone as well and everything looks perfect for the modern bride having her reception here.
I have to admit that I have been looking forward to Kayla & Shane’s wedding ever since doing their engagment session back in April in St. Augustine. Their engagement session is another favorite of mine so be sure to check that session out here. These two are just so much fun to be around and you can tell that they love each other and make sure that treat this life as an adventure.
Shane is currently serving in the Coast guard and they met while Kayla was in as well. I love serving fellow military couples and families whether it’s for a wedding or a military homecoming. My husband just returned from his deployment overseas so I want to give a big thank you to Shane and Kayla for serving our nation!
Kayla & Shane’s wedding was special because every detail you see here was handmade by someone in their family. The invitations were made by Shane’s sister, Kristie and Kayla’s florals were made by Kayla’s grandmother, Carol, just to name a few. The bridesmaid dresses and groomsmen tuxes coordinated perfectly with the romantic blush for the girls and navy blue for the guys.
The ceremony arch was so beautiful as was the ceremony itself. Kayla’s dress was absolutely stunning! And the reception was definitely a celebration of two families being united and it was an honor to be a part of that. The groom’s sister, Erica, even rapped for her “Best Woman” speech and it was awesome! So many great memories were made that night that I know Kayla & Shane will look back on for years to come. Please enjoy pictures from their wedding day and here’s a special thanks to all the vendors involved:
